XXXTentacion (Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy) was an American rapper and singer-songwriter known for his music's themes of depression, alienation, and mental health, which helped establish emo rap and SoundCloud rap genres. After gaining popularity on SoundCloud with songs like "Look at Me!," he released successful albums like "17" and "?", but his career was marked by legal troubles and public controversy. He was shot and killed on June 18, 2018, at the age of 20, though his music continued to achieve posthumous success.
